Waikiki Aquarium Seahunt

In case you haven’t heard, the Waikiki Aquarium is holding it’s annual Seahunt (Easter Egg Hunt)  on Saturday, March 27, 2010.

Registration is taking place now. If you’re a member, you would have received a flyer in the mail by now. If not, you can register online. FOWA members at most levels are FREE. If you’re not a member, the cost is $10 and that includes your admission to the aquarium. Other additonal costs incude the Go Fish game, a Seahunt t-shirt, and food at the event.

Keep Your Keiki Safe

Today as I was driving to my toddler’s play group I drove past a white Toyoto Camry. Since we were stopped at a stop light, I happened to look over at the car.

To my dismay, I saw a unrestrained child in the backseat with an older Asian woman. The child was NOT in a child safety seat! The child appeared to be between 10-16 months old. I couldn’t really see his whole body because it seemed like he was standing on the floor and the woman was holding him up. There was an older Asian man driving the car.

The light turned green and the car drove off. I was so upset about it and I couldn’t stop thinking about it all day.

If you happen to see this car or know this person, the license plate is EVE 544.

I’m not sure if there is any good reason why someone would be driving a car with a child who is not in a car seat.

What would you do if you saw a moving car with a child in it who was not restrained? Do you think there is a  good reason why someone would be driving with an unrestrained child?
