2009 Aloun Farms Pumpkin Patch field trip with my preschooler. Every year we visit the pumpkin patch as a family. So my preschooler got to go twice this year!

Trick -or- treating at Kahala Mall…so crowded! This is a great event for the family. If you haven’t tried it, be sure to check it out next year.

* I blurred the faces of the people in front of us…just in case.

Hope you enjoyed your Halloween this year.

We just found out some sad news…La Pietra will not be having their Children’s Fair this year. They said that they are restructuring it. Boo, hoo, hoo! My daughter really enjoyed it last year. They had a lot of cute games for little children. They also had a painting corner where children could paint pictures using easels. Another thing my daughter enjoyed was the little tricycle course…so fun! They also have pony rides too. I think the reason why we really enjoyed this fair was because it had activities for children under 6 years old. Yes, it was inconvenient to get there because of the parking situation but they did have a shuttle from KCC.

Well, next month there will be two upcoming children’s fairs. One at the Waldorf School in Niu Valley and the other at Hanahauoli School in Makiki. We didn’t go the the Waldorf School fair last year so this will be our first time. Others have told me that it is fun too. The Hanahauoli fair was fun also. The food was delicious too! The also had games but my daughter didn’t enjoy them as much as the games at La Pietra. They also have a pony ride. She did enjoy playing on the playground equipment, esp. since they had water misters running to keep everyone cool. And yes, the parking is a bummer there too but it’s well worth it if you attend.

By the way, another fun activity during the fall season is the Aloun Pumpkin Patch. I haven’t checked out the dates for the public yet but I know that some schools will be going. Last year, we checked it out and it was pretty neat.  We got a bunch of little pumpkins since that’s about all my daughter could carry. I think it’s a great experience to see where pumpkins really come from (not the store) and then pick them yourself.

I hope you enjoy the upcoming activities with your little ones…I know I will! Have fun! Make memories!
